After three seasons in the Algarve, the Portugal Pro Golf Tour, in association with the PGA of Portugal, has now expanded its schedule of events and widened its area of operation.

The tour is aiming to expand with more events throughout Portugal, operating from North to South. The official 2017/18 schedule has already been published and once again players will be able to play on great courses such as Onyria Palmares, Boavista Golf Resort, Penina Golf, San Lorenzo, Quinta de Cima and Morgado do Reguengo, the venue of the 2017 Portuguese Open, among many others.

However, despite the 21 tournaments that form the schedule for 2017/18, it is anticipated that 3 more events will be added soon which will take place in the north of Portugal.

The tour has been very successful, over the last 3 years, in providing players with competitive winter practice and already attracts golfers from all over the world to the warm weather of the Algarve.

The improved performances of the Portuguese players are indicative of the tours importance in the development of professional golf in the country, in 2016/17 there were no less than 6 Portuguese players finishing in the top-10 of the Order of Merit with excellent and consistent results.

In addition, the Portugal Pro Golf Tour will continue to organize competitions for amateur golfers in the Am-Cups for individuals and Pro-Ams for teams.
